There are three big advantages of a private teacher over a standard group class at a gym or studio:
- Flexibility. You choose where and when the class is going to take place! It could be at your home, at work, at your club, at a friend's place, or as part of a romantic and luxurious getaway.
- Saves time. No need to get stressed and waste time with traffic and parking.
- Personalized, not generic. For practical reasons, most group classes are aimed at some imagined average student and therefore can be pretty impersonal. Your needs, experience, and skill are unique, so to get the most out of your practice time, it makes sense to have a private class tailored to you.
Price varies depending on frequency per week and location. It costs more than a group class, but that's because you're getting more for your money: custom-tailored instruction, at a time and place of your choosing, without the hassle of travel, and better and faster progress than in a generic class.
There's no minimum or maximum number of students. It can be simply yourself, working one-on-one, using hands-on work if this is comfortable to you. Or you can have your family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors participate.
I've given many special-event classes. I can create one or two classes for weekend getaways, a relaxed dinner party, corporate events, and more.
I teach anyone from absolute beginners to advanced students.
I absolutely adapt to your needs, goals, skills, and experience — it's precisely what I do in every class (and it's the whole point of having a private teacher). As I listen to you and work with you, I will naturally guide you toward the combination of Mat Pilates and Yoga that's right for you. If you're more advanced and want to pursue a particular form, have a look at the disciplines I teach and let's craft a focused course together.
